Palin Criticizes Blogs Even Though a Blogger is Credited with Aiding Her VP Selection

Last night was the first of a two-part interview with Fox News' Greta van Susteren, during which Sarah Palin talked about her future plans and got in a couple jabs at bloggers.

Palin directed most of her media criticism at liberal bloggers, whom she twice called, "those bloggers in their parents' basement just talkin' garbage."
How quickly Palin forgets who brought her to the nation's attention. It was a conservative blogger who lived in his parents' basement.

University of Colorado-Colorado Springs student and right wing blogger Adam Brickley was given credit for being the first to envision Palin as a Republican vice-presidential candidate via his website: http://www.palinforvp.blogspot.com/.

Sarah and Todd Palin personally called to thank Brickley after she was selected as McCain's running mate. Brickley gained national media attention for his successful Palin VP lobbying and here is his appearance on the Colbert Report. The interview starts around 6:00 minute mark of the video.

Considering the right wing blogs' minimal influence on the 2008 election and fixation on crazy conspiracy theories like a fake Obama birth certificate, Brickley's VP Palin accomplishment might be the lone bright spot produced from a conservative blogger.

If Brickley can get over working for a person that slams his blogging credentials and living situation, he would be a good hire for Palin's 2012 presidential run.

UPDATE:
Jane Hamsher of Fire Dog Lake takes exception to Palin's tawdry insults of liberal bloggers.
